STATEMENT OF FAITH
We affirm that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, the Bible, are God’s inspired word without any mixture of error, infallible and inerrant in all it affirms.
We affirm that there is one God who exists eternally in three coequal persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the sovereign ruler of the universe.
We affirm that God created this world and is, therefore, its rightful Lord.
We affirm that mankind was created for a relationship with God but rebelled against Him and was separated from God by sin. Because of our sin, all people face both physical death and the eternal judgment of God.
We affirm that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and was God in a human body, fully god and fully man. He lived a sinless life and offered himself to die on the Cross to pay for the sins of the whole world. He rose again and is seated at the right of God.
We affirm that salvation is a gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation by grace through faith in Christ is the only hope of salvation for all mankind.
We affirm that each person much respond to God grace by repenting of their sin and trusting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
We affirm the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20, that it is the duty of the church and every individual to make disciples of all nations through evangelism and through teaching God’s word and calling people to obey its teachings.
We affirm that those who trust Christ are kept by His grace and power until His work is complete, that He will finish the work of redemption He begins in us.
We affirm that the New Testament defines two ordinances for the church to remember the saving act of Christ. We affirm baptism by immersion upon a believer’s profession of faith in Christ as a first act of obedience in the Christian life. We affirm the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of Christ’s body and blood. Neither ordinance has saving power but is a holy remembrance of the grace of God in salvation.
We affirm that Jesus Christ will return one day to judge the world. Those who have received God’s grace through faith will be received into heaven and any who have not will be sent to a real and eternal hell.
